Essential Job Duties:

Job duties include business development, estimating, detailing, project management of work orders, and assisting in production scheduling.

Applicants must be organized, analytical, focused on accuracy, and have good verbal and written communication skills. Need the ability to work with diverse personalities and with several departments (including shop supervision, purchasing, detailing, etc.). An excellent understanding of manufacturing practices, opportunities and limitations, proficiency in reading/interpreting blueprints and specifications is required. Must have an eagerness to maintain effective relationships with customers to discuss proposed quotes, details, and timelines.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 3+ year’s experience estimating/project managing in a machine/fabrication shop environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Autocad/Solidworks Ability
  • ASME CODE experience a Plus

    Essential Job Duties:

    • Responsible for the daily programming of CNC Machines which can include: Large Horizontal Boring Mills, 8’ Vertical Turning Lathe, and 17’ Vertical Bridge Mill (all with Fanuc Controls) utilizing Mastercam Software
    • Provide a hands-on approach with personnel to achieve accurate communication of instructions and assist with setups on jobs
    • Heavy involvement with quality control procedures on your projects
    • Take initiative to research better machining methods to improve job efficiencies
    • Responsible for the management of the machinists
    • Overtime is worked on a normal basis to accommodate customer demands

    Job Requirements:

    • Minimum 5+ years CNC Programming Experience in a Machine Shop
    • Minimum 3+ years Mastercam Software experience
    • Prior experience working as a CNC Machinist
    • Solidworks & FARO Arm experience a plus
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook)

      Essential Job Duties:

      The Administrative Assistant reports directly to the Office Manager. The key role is being responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office. Supports managers and employees through a variety of tasks related to organization and communication. Responsible for confidential and time sensitive material.

      Duties Include:

      • Perform all in-depth general office functions.
      • Perform all general office duties and assist with daily office workflow such as: records management, job costing, answering phones, monitoring emails, customer service, etc.
      • Daily data entry of time records
      • Work with Purchasing; processing and receiving of purchase orders
      • Prepare invoices and offer general staff support
      • Perform back up fundamental book keeping tasks ( A/R, A/P, and collections)

          Atlas Machining & Welding, Inc. is looking for a motivated individual to help operate our Industrial Vacuum Trucks. Our fleet of trucks service the local cement industry and is not an over the road or local delivery job environment.

          Essential Job Duties:

          Tasks associated with the job include carrying heavy hoses, using tools such as shovels, jack hammer, etc., and maintaining and cleaning the truck. The work environment is dirty and dusty, and at times weather sensitive, similar to other construction site work.

          Job Requirements:

          Must have a valid CDL (Class B min.) driver’s license. When not working on the truck, general labor duties at the shop will apply. Must be able to work overtime on a consistent basis and be available for weekend work. There is no overnight travel required with this job.

            Include; welding with GTAW, FCAW, GMAW, SMAW and a working knowledge of SAW, Plasma Cutting, Oxy-fuel cutting. Must be familiar with using weld positioners, tank rolls, weld manipulators and be proficient with setting up welding processes and associated equipment. Must be able to read blueprints and welding symbol, and able to pass an AWS/ASME 3G Weld Test for certification using FCAW process.

            Job Requirements:

            • Minimum 5+ year’s Fitting Experience
            • Must be able to tig weld (x-ray quality)
            • Must have experience working with large parts/fabrications
            • Must be able to interpret complicated drawings and/or blueprints
            • Must be able to work independently with little supervision and direction.
            • Must be self-motivated.
            • Must be able to assemble and fit as per drawings
            • Experience with brake press, plate rolls, burning table and fabricating equipment a plus.
            • Must be able to work overtime as required

                  Essential Job Duties:

                  The ideal candidate will have machining, fabricating, sheet metal, and mechanical/assembly knowledge and experience.

                  This position is responsible for managing the assigned projects and jobs thru the shop from start to finish.

                  Duties Include:

                  • Review of Purchase orders, specifications, drawings, and any other relevant documents
                  • Create BOM from customer supplied assembly drawings
                  • Create detailed shop drawings of parts for machining, fabricating, and laser cutting departments
                  • Develop a manufacturing process and prepare a routing for orders
                  • Generate buy-out parts lists and special order material requirements and relay to purchasing department
                  • Monitor costs to keep projects and jobs on budget
                  • Maintain close communication with plant supervision to ensure timely scheduling of parts to be manufactured for on-time deliveries
                  • Communicate directly with customer to resolve any issues: lack of information, quality issues, etc.
                  • Arrange & coordinate all inspections and shipping documentation

                  Job Requirements:

                  • Minimum 5+ years working hands on within a machining, fabricating or sheet metal industry
                  • Technical degree preferred
                  • Highly organized, flexible and have the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
                  • Strong Mechanical Aptitude
                  • Autocad, Solidworks, and Microsoft Office Products proficiency a must
                  • Purchasing or estimating experience a plus!
